Finished Cargo Camper Conversion
This is my “Teeny Tiny House” that I converted from a cargo trailer. I purchased the trailer brand new and spent 2 months master planning the conversion using 3-D modeling and detailed drawings before work began. When working with such limited space, I soon realized that every square inch counts. It was a true challenge creating a space that wouldn’t feel cramped or claustrophobic, as I would be making this my home for at least the near future — (little would I know, it would serve comfortably as my home for the following four years).
Some design details:
Completely self-contained with 6 solar panels, 3,000 watt inverter, 2 Lithium Ion batteries, 40 gal. water tank, 20 gal. grey water tank, compost toilet, gas water heater, camera security system.
The project took over 900 hours to craft as everything was handbuilt with attention to precise details.
The home has traveled thousands of miles through many states, including long stays in remote Colorado mountains on public lands. It has been to New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California for a seven-month stay.
